Hi everyone! I hope you had a nice weekend! For today’s post, I’m linking up with The Blended Blog for their “Fall Creative: Show Us What You Make” theme. Ok, so technically this isn’t a fall project but more of a holiday one but I figure you can use fall-related fabrics to make pillow covers instead of the holiday plaid I used here.
Anyway, I taught myself to sew a few years ago and my favorite project is making pillow covers which I think is one of the easiest sewing projects. I used to buy so many seasonal pillows but I stopped after running out of room to store them when not in use. I made these plaid pillow covers last year and I’m enjoying them again this year. I love all the tartan and plaid for the holidays!
Here’s a photo I took last year. I made the plaid pillow cover as well as the red mink pillow cover behind it. They both look so festive against the Christmas tree!
Here’s the fabric I started with. You can find so many sewing tutorials online.
And here’s a shot of my little assistant haha!
The finished product.
So I’m curious – where do you store pillows when they’re not being used?? Hope you have a great Monday!
