Dry Skin + Hair Saviors
I don’t know about you but come winter, my skin is like a desert – parched and dry! My hands get especially red and cracked. In today’s post, I’m sharing all the products that I rely on to provide that much-needed moisture for my skin and hair. These are products that work for me and hopefully, you’ll benefit from these as well, if you decide to try them out.
For nighttime, I use this Luna Sleeping Oil and I follow it up with a moisturizer. I’ve been loving the Confidence in a Cream. The cream is perfect for winter as it’s thicker but absorbs so quickly. During the day, I’m usually pressed for time so I’ll add a few drops of an oil (I use this facial oil) with my foundation. Quick, easy and it provides a smooth, glowing canvas, for the rest of my makeup.
My favorite products for hair are the Caviar Nourishing Oil and this Invisible Oil.
I apply it to the ends and it helps with flyaway hair. It’s hard finding a hair product that doesn’t weigh my hair down. I usually alternate between the two.
My Caviar Oil (on the left) is an older design. The newer one has a pump and is a lighter purple color. Just wanted to let you know in case you click on the link and find it takes you to something different.
In the winter months, I prefer creams over lotions. I love these body butters, they’re rich and creamy and I always stock up when they’re on sale.
We can’t forget the hands! I have several hand creams that I like. Nothing’s worse than when your hands are so dry that they snag on your clothes! I have several tubes of the L’occitane ones everywhere around the house, at my desk, in my purse, you get the idea! But sometimes, nothing can help my hands more than Aquaphor. I started using Aquaphor when my kids were babies. (I didn’t even know what it was before kids, ha!) Nothing feels as soothing when I have dry, cracked skin! And it’s scent-free which is very important to me when it comes to hand creams.
I purchased this spray after reading several reviews. And I love it! It’s thinner than the actual product in the tube but it’s thicker than any other body spray, if that makes sense. It’s hard applying lotion to kids but with this spray, it’s such a breeze. Just a quick spray down the arms and legs and a quick rub to smooth it in! The spray feature isn’t the best for winter time when it’s so cold but I can overlook that for being able to spray and go!
So there you go, my holy grail winter items. What are your winter essential products?
