February 2018 Highlights

Another winter month down! We’re slowly but surely getting closer to spring. I thought I’d highlight some things that happened last month.

February included cheering on the Eagles for the Superbowl and also watching the Olympics in S. Korea. Even Mario, our chocolate Burmese, got in on the Superbowl action…though he doesn’t look too excited, ha!

We can’t forget Valentine’s Day. Instead of going out to eat with millions of other people that night, we ate in and I made a chocolate fondue to dip with strawberries and cut up orange slices.

The kids had fun making their own chocolate covered strawberries.

If you’re pressed for time and have no idea what to make for dinner, try my Pulled Pork recipe. It’s quick and easy in the Instant Pot.

My spring purchases included these blush sneakers. Cute, right?!

I also did a fitting room post from Target. They have so many cute pieces for spring, all at a reasonable price. My favorite piece is this denim-style tee, very soft and comfy.

I also love this chambray top with the ruffle details. It looks great with white jeans!

I also did a post on work wear, kind of a capsule wardrobe for all the working women out there.

We had dinner at an Olive Garden one night. We haven’t been here in a while and it was so good. Am I the only one who asks for all that fresh cheese?! I forgot how much I love their breadsticks and salad!

I did a post on how I take care of myself. You can find that here. For me, it includes lighting candles or diffusing essential oils (my favorites are peppermint and orange) and indulging in a face mask. My other favorite self-care activity is reading. Trust me when I say I will make time to read lol! My 2 favorite reads last month were Force of Nature and Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. Highly recommend both!

Well, that wraps up February! Don’t forget to spring forward on Sunday!
