We went on a 7-day Caribbean cruise with Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas earlier this month. Wow, this ship was H.U.G.E! It’s the 2nd largest ship now. I’m recapping the first and second days of our cruise in today’s post.
> Day 1 <
We flew in from Washington DC to Ft. Lauderdale. Here we are going through the boarding process at the port.
Past that doorway was the interior of the ship. We were all oohing and aahing as we entered!
Just a quick snap of my lunch in the buffet. It was past 1 pm when we finally made it onboard so we were all starving!
We took the advice of packing swimwear in our carry-on because after lunch, we hit the pool and it wasn’t too crowded yet!
The evening’s show was Grease.
> Day 2 <
Early the next morning, my daughter and I hit the deck and took some pretty pictures with the sunrise. This was the one and only time we got up early haha!
Doing our best rendition of the King of the World pose. It was a glass floor looking down into the ocean so my heart was beating pretty fast, especially as I’m terrified of heights!
Free carousel rides on the Boardwalk!
There was an arcade onboard too.
Central Park was quiet and contained all the high-end stores such as Bulgari and Cartier.
One of many ice cream cones throughout the 7 days!
I always love the full-service dinner on cruises. I ordered multiple appetizers every night, ending with dessert. Such a break from cooking every night!
We had different towel animals every night. They seemed to get fancier with each passing day. So that’s a recap of the first 2 days onboard the ship. I’ll have days 3 and 4 next week so come back for that! Hope you have a great Labor Day weekend!
