I’m finally getting around to recapping 2018. Just a note that these might not be the most blog-worthy events but I’m capturing my little family’s memories of the past year for my own benefit. It’s so easy to forget as the years go on so I’m glad I have this platform to use as a virtual album.
We spent the end of Dec and into the New Year at a nearby ski resort where we learned to ski. The weather was brisk and cool, perfect for skiing!
I made a football-shaped cake for the Superbowl.
Just a random pic from this month doing what I love to do – read! And having a little lapwarmer didn’t hurt either!
I also went to San Francisco for a weekend this month. My hubby was already there on a business trip. You can find my trip recap here.
I even met George Clooney….as a wax figure lol!
My daughter performed at the talent show. She rocked her electric guitar!
We spent spring break in Georgia to visit my father-in-law. My daughter loves her grandpa’s dog.
We came home and colored eggs for Easter.
I was selected to chaperone my daughter’s class for their field trip to Washington DC. What a gorgeous day!
My daughter wanted to try flag football so this month, she got on a team and played her first game. And yes, she was the only girl. I’m proud of her for doing what she loves!
A new season of baseball for my son.
Watching Harry marry Meghan. #royalwedding
Field day at school.
In addition to flag football, my daughter had another season of soccer.
My son graduated elementary school. Where does the time go?!
We played with sparklers on the 4th.
A lot of days spent at the neighborhood pool.
We went on our much-anticipated cruise. You can read my recap below. I broke it out into multiple posts because I took so many pictures!
A week after our cruise and it was time to go back to school.
My son is a middle schooler!
Another season of baseball and soccer for the kids.
We started the fall season with a visit to the pumpkin patch.
Trick or treatin’ on Halloween!
My son’s team finished off the baseball season with an undefeated streak.
First snow of the season, a week before Thanksgiving!
We celebrated Thanksgiving at my brother’s house.
The holidays are here. My favorite time of year!
We went ice skating.
I made chocolate crinkles.
And we celebrated Christmas at home.
So that wraps up our 2018. I’m excited to see what the new year will bring. So far, I can’t complain. We have a snow day today; I think we got around 10 inches! As always, thank you for following along!
